Dockside Restaurants

Located on Morro Bay’s scenic and historic Embarcadero, we offer two very unique dining options located within steps from each other.  Both locations feature sit down dining, take out, as well as beer and wine selections. We are family owned and operated and specialize in quality local seafood, prepared by skilled chefs who know how to best showcase the great variety of seafood available to us on California's beautiful Central Coast. And, although our menus lean heavily on the bounties of the sea, we offer many other options. We can even provide catering services for your special event. To find out more information about catering click the following link CATERING INFORMATION.

Dockside
Restaurant

In April 2004 the Tognazzini family opened the original Dockside Restaurant, the closest restaurant to Morro Bay's iconic Morro Rock. Miss Bonnie and Captain Mark Tognazzini--with his many years of commercial fishing experience--were eager to offer the freshest of seafood in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

From its start (and long before the term "locavore" became well known), Dockside has been a proud supporter of the historic Morro Bay commercial fishing fleet, and whenever possible our daily specials feature locally caught seafood.

Dining is all indoors, and the atmosphere is comfortable for any group and all occasions. Our servers are friendly and eager to please. Many of our window tables overlook the T-pier (with Morro Rock in the background), and if your timing is right, you may even see fish being brought ashore, as an adjacent dock is used by the local fleet to offload their catches.

With so much to offer, the restaurant has become a favorite of locals and tourists alike!

Dockside Too
Fish Market

Wanting to offer a casual outdoor dining experience, more options for take-out, and fresh seafood for home use, the Tognazzini family opened Dockside Too Fish Market and Patio Dining in April 2009.

Located directly behind Dockside Restaurant, adjacent to the T-pier, Dockside Too's dining is all outdoors. Although our seafood items are wildly popular, you will find a wide variety of menu items for dining on-site or take-out. Simply place your order at the counter and listen for your name to be called. It's casual and fun!

Local musicians provide live music on most days, and as a very special bonus, Dockside Too is dog-friendly: yes, dogs may allow their two-legged family members to accompany them on the patio!

For those of you wanting to prepare a special meal at home, Dockside Too also offers high quality seafood (the same seafood we proudly serve in our restaurants), for preparing at home. And, did you know that eating seafood twice a week is recommended by several prominent health organizations?

Dockside Too Hours

Friday-Saturday: 10 AM to 8 PM

Sunday-Thursday: 10 AM to 7 PM in summer and 6 PM in winter

Dockside 3

After 6 years of buisness our Dockside 3 location closed its doors in September 2018. Although we were sad to see it go, we  believe that this transition will make us stronger and more unified at doing what we do best!

Many of our most popular dishes from our Dockside 3 menu have been assimilated into our current menu at our Dockside Too location.

Come visit us!

Dockside Restaurant and Dockside Too are in the 1200 block of Morro Bay's scenic Embarcadero. Simply head toward Morro Rock and you'll find us right before the Coast Guard station.
