Local fishing this week has had its share of ups and downs but our supply of local favorites still remains strong here at Dockside. This week Lingcod, Blackcod, Grenadier and King Salmon will all fishing all showed improvement with solid landings of each. On the other hand King Salmon fishing remained stagnant or even slowed a bit. however the perseverance of our salty old fishermen including Capt. Mark of the Bonnie Marietta.
Captains who shared in this week’s success include Capt. Patchen of the Kaps, Capt. Kennedy of the Twilight Lady, and Capt. Eaton on his kayak, with landings of Lingcod. Capt Owen Hackleman of the Provision and Capt. Steve Hackleman of the Ruth Anne II also had a better week fishing blackcod. Finally Grenadier fishing this week was also saw improvement with a strong landing from Capt. Nguyen of the Golden Eagle.
King Salmon fishing remained stagnant this week with a few scores of 2 to 3 fish per day but definitely nothing to get excited about. Capt. Mark and the Bonnie Marietta had a few fish early in the week
